You can study theoretical physics anywhere. With Zoom, Skype and email, you can study together even if you are far away. If you are interested in our research, please feel free to contact us.
If you are an undergraduate or master’s graduate student, consider coming to Kyoto University for your graduate studies. The scholarship system for studying in Japan is substantial https://www.jasso.go.jp/en/study_j/. After enrollment, you can be hired as a research assistant.
If you are already a graduate student in a lab somewhere, why not work with us to broaden your research? Theoretical research is fine, and the one that theoretically analyzes your own experimental results together is also okay. You can find a short-term study abroad program at https://www.jasso.go.jp/en/study_j/. You can also study together by Zoom, Skype, or email without coming to Japan.
If the theme is similar to our research, even if you are enrolled in another university, you may be able to get a stipend such as a that of a research assistant (however, if you live overseas, or you have no experience so far, so you may also be able to get a reward. You need to find out if it is possible).
If you have a PhD, or are close to completing your PhD, you may consider a postdoc position. Please contact us first as the funding situation will change from time to time. Also, consider a fellowship system called JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships for Research in Japan https://www.jsps.go.jp/english/e-fellow/. Of course, we will support the adoption of fellowship.
Please feel free to consult with experimental researchers involved in our research, such as analyzing mysterious experimental results. Of course, theoretical research is also okay. I look forward to collaborating with you!
